Commission me to paint.

My name is Vincent Alexander Gabor. I am a Hungarian painter from Budapest, and I have been painting for over 40 years. I travel worldwide to promote my art and hold exhibitions. I spend about three months every year in the UK, and I visit most European countries as often as I can.I don't paint in one voice—I paint in many, because the world I see doesn't hold still long enough for a single style. My work moves between realism, post-impressionism, expressionism, cubism, and abstraction, not as a search for a signature, but as a record of constant change. Oil is my medium because it holds time: it dries slowly, it remembers every layer, and it lets a surface shift from the observed to the felt without apology.What drives me is fragility—of nature, of memory, of the structures we mistake for permanent. A landscape can fracture into geometry one moment and dissolve into feeling the next, because that is how the world actually behaves: solid and uncertain at once. I don't want my paintings to settle into a look. I want them to keep asking what it means to look at something that won't last.
